Are you looking for some serious competition…or just some serious fun? Either way, a night out at the Athens Bowling Center is perfect for you. It just feels good to knock stuff down! Bowling is the ideal way to entertain your family, friends and co-workers. It’s a sport, a recreation or a night out. Everyone can do it. You can give a bowling party to celebrate a milestone in life, generate friendly competition, or just bring together a group for pure entertainment.
League or club? What’s the difference? Traditionally, a bowling league meets once a week at the same time for a set period, say 24 consecutive weeks. Teams of four bowlers usually compete for fun and for cash prizes. A bowling league is a great way to compete with a group of friends from work or friends in your community. The Athens Senior League is a good example. This group meets every Monday morning. Similarly, the Trinity Valley Community College Leagues meets each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning.
A bowling club also meets once a week but is usually less competitive. Adults, teenagers, youth and people of all ages sign up for clubs. They bowl a few games and usually have something in common that unites them – like their love for racing, cartoon characters or the latest hot movie.
But games at the Athens Bowling Center aren’t just restricted to leagues or clubs! With 22 lanes, there’s room for everyone! In between games, visit our snack bar for a delicious treat. The Wild Turkey Club will be opening soon and will provide a spot for adults to enjoy a cold beer after playing a hot game. The arcade and in-door miniature golf provides a safe place for children to play while their parents are competing on the lanes. All day Monday, guests can enjoy $.99 bowling.
