Henderson County Performing Arts Center (a/k/a Athens Little Theater)
Athens Little Theatre, located on Gibson Road, operates as a non-profit organization, for the benefit of our community, and strives to share the magic of dreams for theatre excellence through the study and production of the performing arts. Our mission is to provide quality entertainment to area residents and guests who come from time to time to partake of activities in the area.

Pool Ranch ATV Park

March - Annual Athens Triathlon
What: Enjoy one of Lance Armstrong’s early triathlons. Yes Lance did triathlons along with his biking. At the age of 16 Lance came to Athens and conquered the field setting the course record.

What: Ropin’, ridin’, and plenty of horsing’ around at the longest running PRCA annual rodeo in the area!

May (Last Friday each May) - Old Fiddlers Contest & Reunion
What: Bring your lawn chairs and spend the day enjoying the sights and sounds of this 76 year old event. Stay til midnight and dance to the tunes of country western swing and more at the street dance that follows.

May through July - Berry Pickin
What: By the pint or by the bushel, there's nothing better in summer than fresh, sweet berries. Typically, berries are best from late May through July; however, there are a number of factors that affect this, so it's always best to call ahead.

What: Did you know the hamburger was created in Athens, Texas? Yup, even McDonald’s says so. Come for family fun and fabulous food at our annual cook-off
